hyatt regency phoenix hotel completes $15 million renovation
PHOENIX, AZ (August 12, 2010) - The Hyatt Regency Phoenix hotel recently completed a $15 million transformation of its property in downtown Phoenix. This top to bottom renovation included all 693 guestrooms, lobby and front desk, updated and expanded StayFit™ fitness center, 37,000 square feet of meeting space, and the hotel's rooftop revolving restaurant- Compass Arizona Grill.
Conveniently situated in the heart of downtown, the Phoenix Arizona hotel's new guest rooms were designed with an eye towards sleek modern southwest luxury. The new color scheme is a layering of earth tones, including celery, tangerine and sunset. A granite- topped credenza houses a new 37- inch flat screen TV and iHome™ stereo with iPod™ docking stations. Guest bathrooms have been upgraded to a new contemporary scheme with granite top counters, new rain forest showerheads and curved shower rods with new wall coverings. All corridors are re-carpeted to compliment the new guest rooms.
The downtown Phoenix hotel's new lobby is the focal point of the transformation, offering a sleek modern urban southwest retreat for guests designed by Gensler. The lobby now offers living lounge areas with flat screen TVs, a Cyber Café and Business Lounge. The check-in process is more engaging for guests with new pod stations and flat screen laptops.
"We are thrilled to have completed the transformation and enhancements. We have brought an entirely new level of design to Hyatt Regency Phoenix; a sleek yet comfortable experience for our existing and new customers," said Murray Burnett, general manager of the Phoenix hotel. "Whether guests are visiting Phoenix for business or pleasure, they can unwind with all of the contemporary design and amenities today's travelers crave most."
A new expanded StayFit@Hyattfitness center caters to fitness-conscious business and leisure travelers. The 24/7 gym features the latest high-tech cardio and strength-training equipment from industry leader Life Fitness®, regularly scheduled exercise programs, and knowledgeable support staff on-site.
The 37,000 square feet of meeting space, including 32 meeting rooms and a 10,200 square foot ballroom has been re-carpeted along with installation of new air wall coverings and lighting to create a fresh look and new ambiance.
The redesigned and reconcepted Compass Arizona Grill, located atop the Phoenix Arizona hotel, features a redefined look and menu offering creative dishes made with seasonal Arizona ingredients and flair in a relaxed upscale restaurant led by Executive Chef Dominic Vaccaro.
